The break & bloom zine is a passion project i started with a friend. We wanted to create a space that allows people to create the art they want— free from expectations to create for someone else. Our first issue, "Bloom", was launched in September of 2023. Since then we've featured many artists and continued to grow our community.

The name break & bloom takes inspiration from the Chinese character, 绽, which can mean to break or to bloom. This zine is meant to give creatives a chance to break into a space where they can bloom and flourish.

As Editor-in-Chief, my duties include artist outreach, content curation, and design for our social media and our physical and digital zines.
